Frequently Asked Questions
How long does my hair need to be for waxing?
Hair should be at least ¼ inch long (about the size of a grain of rice) for the best results. This is usually 3+ weeks of growth after shaving.
Does waxing hurt?
Waxing can be uncomfortable, but the pain is quick and gets easier with regular sessions. At Wax Regardless, we focus on efficient technique to keep the process as fast and comfortable as possible. We also offer a numbing spray for extra comfort—just ask before your appointment!
How long do waxing results last?
Results typically last 3–4 weeks, depending on your hair growth cycle. With regular waxing, hair grows back softer and finer over time.
Can I get waxed on my period?
Yes! You can still get a Brazilian wax during your period, but you must wear a tampon or menstrual cup. Just keep in mind that the skin may be a little more sensitive.
Can I get waxed during pregnancy?
Absolutely! Waxing is safe during pregnancy, and we take extra care to keep you comfortable. Hormonal changes may make the skin more sensitive, but we use gentle wax and offer custom positioning to accommodate your growing belly.
How often should I get waxed?
Most clients book a wax every 4–6 weeks to maintain smooth results and reduce discomfort over time.
What should I do after my wax?
- Avoid hot showers, sweating, and tight clothing for 24 hours.
- No exfoliating for 48 hours, then gently exfoliate 2–3 times a week to prevent ingrowns.
- Apply a soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer to keep skin hydrated.
Will waxing cause ingrowns?
Ingrown hairs can happen, but exfoliating regularly and moisturizing helps prevent them. We can recommend aftercare products to keep your skin smooth and bump-free.
